Vaibhav Sharma, who was last seen in the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey and will next be seen in I Am No Queen, says his family celebrates every festival with great fervor and enthusiasm. Speaking on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he said, “Every festival is big for my family, but comparatively, Ganesh Chaturthi is not celebrated as much in the northern parts of India, especially in Punjab.” "However, we did celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi a few years ago, but I’m not sure if we will be celebrating it this year. If we do, the rituals will remain the same,” he added. He believes it is never difficult to celebrate any auspicious occasion, especially because he is a religious person.
However, he mentioned, “Since I’m in Canada, I won’t be able to celebrate at home.” Vaibhav visits his friends who bring Ganpati idols during the festival. “I don’t miss any opportunity to participate in the holy communion. I won’t deny that it becomes challenging, but in the end, we make time for what we love doing, don’t we?” He also revealed that he enjoys the delicacies made during the festival but doesn’t let his fitness regime take a backseat. “If I indulge in all the delicious delicacies (which I do), I work out more to balance things out,” he added. Vaibhav prays to Bappa for health, success, happiness, and for his faith in God to remain as strong as it is.
